Dog laughter

All dog lovers know that their canine friends express themselves in a startling variety of ways.

Crouched at the front is ready to play. A snarl of the lip means “get away from my bone”.

There’s a growing number of people, though, who say dogs even have their own form of laughter. Sounding similar to a pant, dogs make the noise when playing; you’ve almost certainly heard it yourself.
